Purpose

Czinger Vehicles is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Vehicle Test Technician to support the development, testing, and marketing of prototype and pre-production vehicles. This role involves preparing vehicles for test programs and events, conducting diagnostics and repairs, and supporting engineering teams across various test sites and events globally. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

The Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive mechanics, with a passion for high-performance vehicles and a commitment to excellence. Additionally, the Validation Technician collaborates closely with the Technical Program Manager and is expected to travel for test and marketing events.

Test & Marketing Event Support

  • Support on-site vehicle testing and marketing events at proving grounds, racetracks, public roads, and test rigs.
  • Perform pre- and post-event inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Prepare trucks, trailers, and vehicles for deployment to test and marketing events.
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are safely transported and maintained.
Protype Build & Maintenance

  • Assemble, rework, and modify prototype and marketing vehicles in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs to development vehicles.
  • Install and verify vehicle data acquisition systems.
  • Construct and modify vehicle wiring harnesses and perform root cause analysis of electrical issues.
  • Assist with fitment, measurement, and validation of new components or systems under test
Documentation & Issue Tracking

  • Maintain accurate records of all modifications, repairs, and maintenance performed on vehicles.
  • Log vehicle and component mileage, keep track of service intervals.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues arising during vehicle assembly and test events
  • Support raising and tracking issues via JIRA - Engineering Issues Management System.
Basic Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of high-performance hybrid cars or motor racing cars.
  • Can plan and execute vehicle repairs and reworks on complex vehicle systems.
  • Ability to debug hardware and software issues on vehicle.
  • Can define and set up data acquisition equipment.
  • Methodical and systematic.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team. Can collaborate cross-functionally and with external partners.
  • Hands-on and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Has a solution orientated approach and takes ownership of given responsibilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with vehicle data logging systems and basic programming or scripting.
  • Proficiency with JIRA or similar issue tracking systems.
  • Class B or higher driver’s license and trailer towing certification.
