OverviewCMTA is a leading engineering firm that uses a data‑driven, holistic approach to consulting engineering, performance contracting, and zero energy projects. We look for self‑motivated professionals with strong HVAC, design, or commissioning backgrounds who can help lead all phases of performance contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Introduce and explain performance contracting to potential clients, identifying opportunities where CMTA’s solutions provide long‑term value.
- Articulate how and why CMTA is unique in our approach, reinforcing our value proposition in technical and financial terms.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business, referrals, and long‑term partnerships.
- Participate in business development efforts including client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
- Lead the development phase including site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
- Direct the engineering design team in producing drawings and specifications.
- Direct the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes.
- Collaborate with the client to finalize the performance contract.
- Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.
- Direct the commissioning process to validate performance.
- Support the client through the warranty phase as needed.
- Work with our Measurement & Verification professional to develop the first‑year M&V report.
- Demonstrate knowledge of state‑specific K‑12 design‑build procurement processes, ensuring alignment with state and district requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with an Energy Services company or a consulting engineering/commissioning firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
