Our client is seeking a Mechanical AI&T Engineer to join their team.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Generate detailed designs via CAD systems and engineering drawings with appropriate geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Support space hardware qualification/acceptance campaigns.
  • Deliver well‑written test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Design test fixtures.
  • Assembly and build of test/flight hardware.
  • Develop space hardware assembly build procedures.
  • Perform mechanical builds of prototype or space hardware.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams and a strong ability to collaborate.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Siemens NX (including NX Teamcenter and GD&T per ASME Y14.5).
  • 3+ years of experience in space hardware assembly, integration, and test.
  • Familiarity with mechanical test instrumentation (thermocouples, RTDs, accelerometers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with mechanical assembly, typical assembly tools, and space hardware build best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s or PhD in Mechanical, Structural, or Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Track record of successfully delivering compelling written reports and complete designs on time, to scope, with high quality.
  • 5+ years of experience with Siemens NX (including NX Teamcenter and GD&T per ASME Y14.5).
  • 5+ years of experience in space hardware assembly, integration, and test.
  • Space hardware thermal vacuum test experience.
  • Space hardware vibration test experience.
  • Solid understanding of design for manufacturing methods.
  • Data analysis/processing capabilities.
  • High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive; resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experienced with issue tracking applications (JIRA, TRAC).
  • Demonstrated experience working with government agencies.
