Position: Mechanical Inspector - Site (Building Projects)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mechanical Inspector - Site to join our team in United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough mechanical services inspections at various construction and industrial sites across the UAE, ensuring compliance with Specifications, industry standards and the authority's regulations.

  • Perform on-site mechanical services inspections of equipment, systems, and components to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Conduct detailed examinations of mechanical installations, including Plumbing, HVAC systems, GAS, Firefighting, and mechanical services testing and commissioning.
  • Identify and document defects, non-conformities, and potential issues during inspections.
  • Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate records of findings.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Verify that corrective actions are implemented effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in mechanical inspection.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures during all on-site activities.
What do we need from you
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical building services, including installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
  • Proven track record in HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, Gas, and Fuel system inspections.
  • Previous experience in engineering consultancies within the UAE is mandatory
    .
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and material specifications.
  • Strong proficiency in mechanical inspection techniques, quality control protocols, and industry compliance standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, local UAE codes, etc.).
  • Skilled in using inspection and documentation/reporting tools/software.
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing and project lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to identify and resolve site issues efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail to uphold quality standards.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in high‑pressure environments.
  • Adaptable to various work locations across Dubai and the UAE.
