Snap Inc invites application for an Electrical Engineer on the Spectacles team. The role focuses on designing and validating high‑performance electronic systems for next‑generation AR glasses.
Responsibilities- Own schematic design, component selection and stackup definition for boards from concept to final deliverable
- Design complex SOCs, PMICs, wireless ICs and sensors used in low‑power consumer electronics
- Lead and contribute to technical design reviews
- Supervise and review layout for PCB, Flex and Rigid Flex designs
- Debug hardware issues with cross‑functional teams (desense, power states, signal integrity, ESD and EMI)
- Test and validate all board‑level and systems‑level aspects of electrical designs
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, RF, thermal and industrial design teams
- Author clear and comprehensive electrical test documentation
- Develop electronic prototypes for new product concepts
- Support development builds onsite at external contract manufacturers
- Travel internationally up to 20%
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and best‑practice understanding
- Experience in electronic design (schematic, component selection, layout tools)
- Proficiency in battery‑operated systems (chargers, fuel gauges, battery protection circuits)
- Experience with USB, I2C/I3C, SPI, UART, MIPI, SWD and PCIe interfaces
- Knowledge of linear and switching power supply layouts, EMI mitigation, high‑speed signal integrity, power delivery networks
- Experience with oscilloscopes, battery simulators, logic analyzers and thermal chambers
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration across groups
- BS/BA in Electrical Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years post‑Bachelor’s hardware engineering experience; or Master’s degree +2 post‑grad years; or PhD + post‑grad experience
- MS in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience developing consumer electronic products at production scale
- Experience with Cadence, Orcad, Allegro
- Experience in failure analysis with external vendors
- Experience with overseas manufacturing

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $157,000‑$235,000 annually
Zone B: $149,000‑$223,000 annually
Zone C: $133,000‑$200,000 annually
