Job Description
The Test Technician supports engineering and production teams by setting up, operating, and maintaining electronic and mechanical test equipment to verify product performance and quality. This role works hands-on with electronic circuits and mechanical assemblies, performing measurements, troubleshooting issues, and documenting test results to ensure products meet specified standards.
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and monitor electronic and mechanical test equipment to evaluate product performance and functionality.
- Use oscilloscopes and other diagnostic instruments to measure, analyze, and record electrical signals and parameters.
- Perform soldering on electronic components and assemblies to support test setup, rework, and repairs.
- Assist in testing electronic and mechanical systems according to established procedures and engineering instructions.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and identify faults in electronic circuits and mechanical assemblies using appropriate tools and methods.
- Document test procedures, results, and observations accurately and clearly for review by engineering and quality teams.
- Maintain test equipment, tools, and workstations in good working order, ensuring proper calibration and safe operation.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to improve test methods and resolve technical issues identified during testing.
- Follow established safety, quality, and process guidelines while handling electronic and mechanical components.
- Hands-on experience working with electronic and mechanical systems in a test or laboratory environment.
- Proficiency using oscilloscopes to measure and analyze electrical signals.
- Ability to operate a variety of electronic test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and function generators.
- Soldering skills for assembling, modifying, and repairing electronic circuits and components.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles related to electronics and mechanics.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, procedures, and diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail when performing tests and recording data.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a technical environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Background or coursework in engineering, electronics, or mechanical technology.
- Familiarity with standard laboratory practices and handling of electronic components.
- Comfort working with test equipment in a structured process-driven environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with engineers and technical colleagues regarding test results and issues.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $12.00 - $12.00/hr.
