Community Host​/Event Organizer Part-Time; IRL Events

Tribe is a free, invite-only social club in Los Angeles that brings people together through thoughtfully designed, in-person experiences. Our gatherings make it easier to meet new people, feel welcome, and build real connections.

We’re growing our host team and looking for warm, reliable people who enjoy making others feel comfortable. Tribe plans and organizes the events; hosts help make the experience welcoming for everyone who attends.

We’re looking for Event Hosts to welcome guests and help create a relaxed, connected atmosphere at Tribe events around Los Angeles. Events may include dinners, walks, museum visits, outdoor activities, and other social gatherings.

This is a paid, part-time role, with events scheduled as they’re planned. Many events take place in the evenings or on weekends.

• You will:
  Welcome guests and check them in using Tribe’s event playbook.
• Help guests feel included, make introductions, and keep the energy friendly and easygoing.
• Follow the event plan and host guidance provided by Tribe.
• Serve as Tribe’s on-site point of contact and liaise with our team as needed during the event.
• Share helpful feedback with Tribe after events.

Tribe is responsible for designing and organizing the events. Hosts aren’t expected to create event concepts, arrange partnerships, or manage event planning.

• Strong communication and people skills; you enjoy meeting and welcoming new people.
• Friendly, reliable, and comfortable engaging with a group in person.
• Able to follow event guidance and handle check-in and basic on-site needs.
• Genuinely interested in helping people feel welcome, especially guests who arrive on their own.
• Available for evening and weekend events around Los Angeles.
• Willing to complete a screening and background check as part of the vetting process.
• $40 per hour for event hosting.
• Event expenses covered:
  Tribe provides payment for event-related items and expenses needed during events, so hosts aren’t expected to cover those costs themselves.
• Clear guidance:
  You’ll receive a hosting playbook and event details ahead of time.
• Team support:
  Tribe’s team is available as a point of contact before and during events.
• Meaningful work:
  Help people feel at ease, meet one another, and enjoy their time together.
