Our client in the Technology industry is hiring a Finance Controller!

About the Role

We're looking for a Controller to join our growing team. This represents a unique opportunity to build a high‑potential business from the ground up alongside experienced operators and investors. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for building and leading our company's accounting and reporting infrastructure — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability as we grow. You’ll play a hands‑on role in managing financial operations, implementing best‑in‑class systems, and serving as a strategic partner across teams to enable sound decision‑making.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of accounting principles and operational finance in a high‑growth SaaS, fintech, or e‑commerce environment, and thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic startup setting.

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Help drive the direction of the company product as it pertains to merchant reporting. Provide guidance to Engineering and Product by translating accounting concepts into actionable insights.
• Design, implement, and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting frameworks across multiple entities.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including GL, AR/AP, cash management, and reconciliations.
• Oversee revenue recognition, cost of sales, and expense classification in accordance with GAAP.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with the CFO and CEO.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
• Ensure compliance with tax, and other financial regulatory standards.
• Provide actionable insights to leadership through reporting and analysis that informs business decisions.

• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including at least 2 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
• Strong technical accounting background and familiarity with U.S. GAAP.
• Experience in SaaS, fintech, or e‑commerce industries preferred.
• Proven track record of implementing and scaling accounting systems and processes.
• Hands‑on experience with ERPs (e.g., Net Suite, Quick Books, or similar) and integrations with data or BI tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• CPA strongly preferred;
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
