A high growth start up is looking for a Controller to join their team. In this role, the Controller will oversee the accounting team, compliance, financial reporting, and cash management. The role requires being hands on, big picture oriented, and able to work in a start up environment.

What do you need for this Controller role?

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
• 20+ years of accounting experience
• People management experience
• Active CPA
• Experience in a mid-sized or large company
• Inventory accounting experience will skip you to the front of the line

• Guide and support the accounting team.
• Design, implement, and uphold financial protocols, internal controls, and reporting frameworks to maintain regulatory alignment.
• Oversee the completion of financial closing activities.
• Champion enhancements to ERP and financial systems; spearhead automation efforts.
• Manage liquidity functions.
• Ensure alignment with GAAP and IFRS standards, along with adherence to tax regulations, audit requirements, and compliance obligations.
• Collaborate across departments to refine cost tracking, inventory oversight, and profitability evaluations.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts; generate financial reports and conduct variance reviews.
• Deliver financial insights and presentations to inform business strategy.
• Coordinate financial activities with international production and supplier networks.
