Carolwood is seeking a Controller who is looking to become part of a private equity firm and help define the mandate for our internal accounting and associated business operations for the Los Angeles based team. In this role, you will gain world‑class experience partnering with investing and value creation professionals that are investing in companies transforming their industries.

• Serve as the Controller and steward of all portfolio company financial information, monitoring and reporting
• Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc dashboards and reports to monitor and analyze the performance of the investments
• Create and administer management company expenditures, budgeting tools, and policies
• Maintain investment ledgers that track investment details, performance, and returns
• Interface with senior investment professionals as well as vendors and various teams including IT, accounting, tax, legal and portfolio value creation

• Five to seven years of relevant professional experience in an accounting firm or finance role.
• Bachelor’s degree (accounting, finance, math, economics) from an undergraduate institution with a record of academic achievement.
• Driven and articulate with strong interpersonal skills. The candidate needs to be a “team player” and able to work successfully with various functions across the organization.
• Keen attention to detail with strong project management and organizational skills.
• Desire to grow in a role and take on more responsibility over time.
• Strong working knowledge of financial reporting, particularly in the fund/private equity space.
• Non‑remote.
