A/R & Billing Specialist
Private school is seeking an A/R & Billing Specialist to join their team.
Responsibilities- Manage daily cash operations, including monitoring balances and initiating transfers/wires
- Monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, receivables, donations, tuition, and other revenue streams
- Process cash receipts, electronic deposits, and related journal entries
- Reconcile tuition and donation records with the School’s financial systems
- Support year-end financial processes, including tuition adjustments, pledges, discounts, and audit preparation
- Coordinate and process all tuition and supplemental billing
- Reconcile student billing to the general ledger and follow up on delinquent accounts
- Respond promptly to parent inquiries and assist with financial aid reimbursements and documentation
- Track deferred revenue, assist with surveys, and support other Business Office projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 4–5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience required; nonprofit or independent school experience preferred
- Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge/Tuition Management strongly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and G Suite required
