A reputable healthcare organization seeks a Senior Director of Finance & Accounting to join their dynamic team. This position is responsible for the direct supervision and management of the finance and accounting activities of multi-entity organizations and the agencies it supports. Responsibilities include month-end close and financial reporting, GL system maintenance, cash management & banking, accounts payable, capital expenditures, payroll processing, billing & collections, and financial planning & analysis.

The role reports directly to the CEO-CFO.

Responsibilities:
  • Enhance the efficiency and timeliness of the month-end close process through process improvements, automation, integration, and ERP system (Sage-Intacct).
  • Provide timely financial reports such as dashboards, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, metrics, and financials for branches and programs.
  • Act as a strategic business advisor to senior management regarding profitability, cost savings, and project results.
  • Manage margins, identify cost savings, and eliminate duplicative costs.
  • Oversee external regulatory reporting.
  • Develop the finance team, designing an optimal organization with cross-training, coverage, retention, and succession planning.
  • Ensure internal controls, safeguard assets, and assist in risk management and insurance policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date financial and operational processes, procedures, and organizational compliance.
  • Lead taxation, tax planning, and annual audits.
  • Participate in strategic planning and lead the annual budget preparation.
  • Conduct financial analysis comparing prior years and budgets, and prepare forecasts.
  • Handle ad hoc analyses and projects as assigned.
  • Provide leadership to teams including Corporate Accounting and Treasury, Billing, Payroll, Purchasing & Procurement, and Capital Projects.
  • Collaborate with other departments on financial transactions and metrics.
  • Oversee financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting as a contributor and supervisor.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; MBA preferred. CPA is not required but preferred.
    • At least 15 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
