A reputable healthcare organization seeks a Senior Director of Finance & Accounting to join their dynamic team. This position is responsible for the direct supervision and management of the finance and accounting activities of multi-entity organizations and the agencies it supports. Responsibilities include month-end close and financial reporting, GL system maintenance, cash management & banking, accounts payable, capital expenditures, payroll processing, billing & collections, and financial planning & analysis.

The role reports directly to the CEO-CFO.

Responsibilities:

Enhance the efficiency and timeliness of the month-end close process through process improvements, automation, integration, and ERP system (Sage-Intacct).

Provide timely financial reports such as dashboards, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, metrics, and financials for branches and programs.

Act as a strategic business advisor to senior management regarding profitability, cost savings, and project results.

Manage margins, identify cost savings, and eliminate duplicative costs.

Oversee external regulatory reporting.

Develop the finance team, designing an optimal organization with cross-training, coverage, retention, and succession planning.

Ensure internal controls, safeguard assets, and assist in risk management and insurance policies.

Maintain up-to-date financial and operational processes, procedures, and organizational compliance.

Lead taxation, tax planning, and annual audits.

Participate in strategic planning and lead the annual budget preparation.

Conduct financial analysis comparing prior years and budgets, and prepare forecasts.

Handle ad hoc analyses and projects as assigned.

Provide leadership to teams including Corporate Accounting and Treasury, Billing, Payroll, Purchasing & Procurement, and Capital Projects.

Collaborate with other departments on financial transactions and metrics.

Oversee financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting as a contributor and supervisor.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; MBA preferred. CPA is not required but preferred.
At least 15 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
