Overview
Safire Partners, an executive search firm, is helping one of our clients, MaC Venture Capital, recruit an FP&A Operations Analyst. MaC VC is Los Angeles’ largest and most active seed-stage venture capital firm with $600M+ AUM and over 120 portfolio investments across SaaS, fintech, health tech, media, logistics, and more. This is a rare opportunity to step inside a leading venture capital firm and work directly with Jennifer Randle, MaC VC’s COO, who has helped firms raise billions of dollars and scale world-class investment platforms.
You’ll apply your financial modeling and analytical skills to drive visibility, efficiency, and insight across MaC VC’s operations and portfolio, supporting FP&A, fund management, and portfolio analytics while gaining hands-on exposure to fund operations and deal analysis.
- Partner with the COO on budgets, forecasts, scenario planning, and investor reporting
- Build and maintain integrated financial models for the firm and select investments
- Standardize portfolio company reporting and streamline data ingestion
- Support valuation, runway, and exit analyses for investment opportunities
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to guide decision-making
- Conduct market mapping and assist with fund-level and strategic projects
- 2 to 5 years in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, consulting, or public accounting
- Very strong financial modeling skills and comfort working with large datasets
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Hands-on, resourceful, and comfortable operating lean
- Deeply curious with opinions backed by data
- Organized, resilient, and motivated by building scalable systems
