United States Space Force – Space Systems Command (SSC), Los Angeles Air Force Base, California.

Pay Range

Base pay range: $104,349 – $161,313 per year.

United States Space Force provided pay range: actual pay based on skills and experience.

Position Summary

As a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist working with programs, this position requires skills in formulating and executing budgets in complex and volatile environments. The candidate collaborates with various functions and between echelons to craft frequent responses to Congressional, OSD, and higher headquarters. Responsibilities include developing analyses to proactively identify budgetary risks and opportunities, maintaining detailed files to inform financial products, and collaborating to produce and maintain financial analyses in advance of requests.

Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top‑Secret security clearance.
  • Drug‑testing designated position; subject to pre‑employment and random drug testing.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information per regulations.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Part of the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP); must meet functional area certification requirements within 1–5 years from appointment.
  • Within 30 days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE‑450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report”; attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.
  • Financial Management Level 2 Certified position per NDAA 2012, Public Law 112‑81, Section 1599d.
  • Eligible for situational telework only (including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”).
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): approx. 15 days per year.
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft for TDY.
  • PCS not authorized; incentive not authorized.
  • Position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.

The United States Space Force (USSF) is a military service that organizes, trains, and equips members and civilians to protect U.S. and allied interests in space and provide space capabilities to the joint force.
