KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our Development & Exempt Organizations practice.
Responsibilities- Perform tax-related tasks, including tax compliance and advisory services to tax exempt organizations
- Conduct grant expenditure evaluations and financial analysis of ongoing domestic and international grants
- Organize and assist with pre-grant evaluations and ongoing grant monitoring activities
- Coordinate and liaise with KPMG offices worldwide that support grant expenditure evaluations, pre-grant evaluations, and other financial aspects of grant-related activities
- Stay current on latest industry and philanthropic issues as well as tax practices as they relate to our client base
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop and sustain excellent client relationships
- A minimum of one year of tax and advisory experience with exempt organizations in an accounting, law, and/or other professional services firm with a focus on the provision of services to exempt organizations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Public & International affairs, Public Administration;
Master of accountancy, master of taxation, JD degree with a bachelor of accountancy, and/or LLM degree with a concentration in tax from an accredited college/university - Strong interest and experience in philanthropic activities, volunteerism, and non-profit organizations
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Excellent financial analysis skills
- Ability to work as a team and strive for personal effectiveness and professionalism to maintain excellent client service

California Salary Range: $57,800 - $101,100
