Tax Associate

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our client's team. Reporting directly to the Senior Tax Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate tax compliance and minimizing tax liabilities. This position is based in our Downtown Los Angeles office. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $65,000 to $75,000 per year.

Job Description s:

• Prepare federal, state, international, and local tax returns work papers.
• Utilize tax compliance software to complete tax returns.
• Handle federal and state extensions and quarterly payments.
• Analyze and reconcile return-to-provision differences.
• Assist with financial reporting related to income tax disclosures.
• Continuously enhance existing processes by developing streamlined procedures and work papers.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with tax compliance software.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Detail-oriented and adaptable to additional responsibilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities with a focus on thoroughness and quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting or tax-related.
