Director of Cost Accounting

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Cost Accounting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $140,000 to $195,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze and maintain cost accounting records, ensuring accuracy in standard costing and variance tracking
• Collaborate with operations and finance teams to improve cost allocation and reporting processes
• Support ERP system transitions and ensure cost structures are properly integrated and maintained
• Prepare detailed reports to support financial planning and decision-making
• Identify inefficiencies in cost tracking and recommend process improvements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within manufacturing or engineering services
• A strong understanding of standard costing methods and variance analysis
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data automation techniques
• Experience working with ERP systems, ideally Oracle Fusion or similar platforms
• Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving cost structures and reporting needs

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to implement structured reporting systems and maintain data accuracy
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• Comfortable working in dynamic environments with shifting priorities
• Detail-oriented and process-driven with excellent organizational skills
• Experience supporting cost accounting in ERP transitions is a plus
