Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking, and vendor management.
- Lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insights and variance analysis to leadership.
- Supervise the accounting team and ensure accuracy and timeliness of general ledger transactions.
- Coordinate external audits and prepare documentation to support tax filings and regulatory reporting.
- A minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with general accounting tasks such as journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial statement preparation.
- Prior supervisory experience managing transactional accounting functions.
- Proficiency in Quick Books Enterprise and advanced Excel skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
- Ability to present financial data clearly to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Experience developing financial tools to analyze product and departmental performance.
- Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to build relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and service providers.
