Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a contract Staff Accountant to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $35 to $45 per hour.

Job Duties:

• Wrap up monthly and yearly activities related to the general ledger
• Compile reconciliations for various financial aspects
• Oversee the daily input of online banking transactions
• Craft financial aid and grant-related reconciliations when required
• Ensure adherence to internal procedures and controls
• Assist the Controller with tasks like annual budgeting, special projects, and research as needed
• Submit requests for annual property and other tax exemptions
• Manage the posting and reconciliation of payroll expenses
• Create the Endowment Unitization Schedule
• Review reports on changes within the payroll department and ADP report runs
• Supervise loan covenant reporting and ensure timely updates on financial condition changes
• Take charge of support responsibilities for the Cashier position
• Collaborate with the Development department for event planning and the recording and reporting of donations and gifts
