CGP: Senior Tax Accountant; Indirect Tax

Position: CGP: Senior Tax Accountant (Indirect Tax)
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $43.00 to $46.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:

• Manage indirect tax processes, including sales, use, and property tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support general ledger activities related to tax, such as booking liabilities, reconciling accounts, and processing payments.
• Analyze large datasets using Excel to ensure accuracy in tax reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to meet tax deadlines and resolve discrepancies.
• Contribute to fuel tax reporting and assist with related compliance tasks.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in indirect tax, preferably in a multi-location or retail environment.
• Strong working knowledge of tax-related general ledger functions and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, filters, and formula-based analysis.
• Familiarity with tax software systems; experience with PDI is a plus but not required.
