Summary:
- Support controllership operations at the studio, including ad hoc analysis, month end reporting, flux explanations, communication with other divisions, monthly deliverables, and journal entries.
- Work on miscellaneous reconciliations and assist with various accounting functions.
- Preparation and upload of journal entries, including network journal entries, intercompany journals, participation statement journals, and studio recurring journals in Oracle.
- Assist with cash receipts and accounts receivable, including managing inflow of cash, applying payments in the billing system, generating AR aging reports, and ensuring proper booking to GL accounts.
- Track down delivery memos by reviewing show delivery schedules, confirming deliveries with the postproduction team, and saving memos to the appropriate shared drive folder.
- Assist with intercompany balance reconciliations, collaborating across divisions to reconcile discrepancies and ensure alignment for consolidated financial statements.
- Support month end and quarter end close by assisting with the quarterly Critical Review deliverable, preparing the divisional month end close calendar, and distributing daily PNL/BS reports via email.
- Assist and support in managing fixed assets and related reporting.
- 2-3 years minimum experience
- Moderate Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, formulas)
- Experience with journal entries
- Experience with Oracle
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and self-motivate to meet deadlines and complete assignments
