CFO

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $200,000 to $250,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the organization's financial strategy, planning, and long-term sustainability efforts.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting functions.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and capital planning.
• Present financial reports and insights to the Board of Directors and Finance Committee.

Requirements:

• At least 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with 5+ years in a nonprofit setting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and fund management practices.
• Experience managing relationships with auditors, banks, and investment advisors.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance and accounting teams.
• Demonstrated success in supporting mission-driven organizations through financial stewardship.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with a collaborative approach.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in complex financial environments.
• Effective communicator with the ability to convey financial information to diverse audiences.
• Deep commitment to the mission and values of the nonprofit sector.
