Director of Accounting and Finance

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Accounting and Finance to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $175,000 to $220,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, promoting a culture of accountability and professional growth.
• Oversee financial reporting, including monthly close, capital account analysis, and internal statements.
• Manage tax compliance, payroll oversight, and coordination with external auditors and advisors.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Ensure financial operations align with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership roles.
• Strong background in financial reporting, tax planning, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to manage capital processes, including funding, distributions, and investment reporting.
• Experience working with financial systems and technology platforms to enhance reporting accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA is preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated success in managing audits and liaising with external financial professionals.
• Strong understanding of financial compliance, including payroll and sales tax regulations.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to financial planning and operational alignment.
