Responsibilities
- Responsible for U.S. corporate tax compliance, including but not limited to ensuring timely filing of federal and state tax returns, accurate tax calculations, and the organization and maintenance of tax-related documentation.
- Lead overseas tax planning initiatives; support the evaluation of new business models, cross-border transactions, and special projects; develop tax planning proposals and assist with execution.
- Monitor and analyze updates to U.S. tax laws, regulations, and policies, and provide timely, professional tax guidance to finance and business teams.
- Liaise with external tax authorities, accounting firms, and tax advisors; select and manage high-quality service providers based on business needs; support tax filings, special tax planning projects, and responses to IRS or other tax authority inquiries.
- Oversee U.S. related-party transaction structuring and transfer pricing management, including evaluating, optimizing, and ensuring compliance of intercompany transaction models.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of U.S. tax experience; prior experience with Big Four accounting firms or U.S. local tax practices is strongly preferred. Experience supporting internet companies’ overseas expansion or the film/TV production industry is a plus.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, U.S. tax laws and regulations, transfer pricing principles, and related compliance requirements; strong sensitivity to tax policy changes and tax risk awareness.
- Strong learning capability, communication skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment; proactive mindset with the ability to independently drive work progress.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required for cross-border communication and collaboration.
