We are seeking a high-performing Tax Analyst / Senior Tax Analyst to join our corporate tax team. This role is designed for a professional with foundational training in a Big 4 or large national accounting firm who is ready to apply their skills to a dynamic in-house corporate tax department.

You will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of federal and state income tax, from data collection and preparation to quarterly provision reporting. This position offers a clear path for professional growth, providing exposure to complex tax accounting issues and strategic planning initiatives.

• Federal & State Compliance:
  Prepare and/or review federal Form 1120 and multi-state income tax returns. Manage the calculation of book-to-tax adjustments and maintain comprehensive tax work papers.
• Tax Provision (ASC 740):
  Support the quarterly and annual income tax provision process. This includes preparing tax account reconciliations, identifying temporary and permanent differences, and assisting in the calculation of the effective tax rate (ETR).
• Tax Accounting & Journal Entries:
  Maintain the tax calendar and ensure all monthly tax-related journal entries are recorded accurately in the General Ledger. Perform quarterly reconciliations of deferred tax assets and liabilities.
• Technical Research:
  Perform research on federal and state tax law changes. Draft internal memos summarizing the impact of new legislation on the company's tax position.
• Audit Support:
  Assist in gathering data and responding to Information Document Requests (IDRs) for federal and state income tax audits.
• Process Automation:
  Leverage tax technology tools and advanced Excel (e.g., Power Query) to automate data gathering and improve the efficiency of the compliance cycle.

• Experience:
  
  1–5 years of experience in corporate income tax. (1–3 years for Analyst; 3–5 years for Senior Analyst).
• Background:
  Prior experience in Big 4 or a large national public accounting firm is required.
• Technical Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of corporate tax principles and ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes).
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification:
  Actively pursuing or already holding a CPA license.

$80,000 - $115,000 a year
