Investment Banking Managing Director

Selby Jennings is partnering with a registered broker dealer looking to add Investment Banking Managing Directors to their growing platform. This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial banker with a proven track record originating and executing M&A transactions and/or micro-cap capital raises to keep a significant percentage of their generated revenues.

The ideal candidate will bring established client relationships, strong deal execution capabilities, and the ability to handle a transaction soup to nuts.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute lower middle market and middle market M&A transactions.
• Source and lead equity and debt capital raises for growth-stage and privately held companies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business owners, private equity firms, family offices, and institutional investors.
• Generate new business opportunities through an active referral network and proprietary business development efforts.
• Lead all aspects of transaction execution, including marketing, negotiations, due diligence, and closing.
• Mentor junior bankers and collaborate with internal deal teams.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on strategic alternatives, capital structure, and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of investment banking experience with a demonstrated history of transaction execution.
• Proven ability to originate and close M&A transactions and/or micro-cap capital raises.
• Established network of business owners, investors, private equity firms, and strategic acquirers.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation, transaction structuring, and capital markets.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• FINRA licenses (Series 79 and 63) preferred or willingness to obtain.
