• Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, hair treatments, styling, up‑dos, perms, blow‑outs, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Meet or exceed a weekly sales goal of $800 and productivity goals for hair services while contributing to store sales, retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink targets set by Ulta Beauty.
• Show business acumen by understanding drivers and identifying growth opportunities.
• Conduct product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
• Support in‑store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives that deliver a premium guest experience.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services, and be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail and service recommendations.
• Maintain high customer‑service and salon image standards.
• Serve all guests, including walk‑ins, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Partner with skin therapists and the retail team to provide a total‑store, well‑rounded guest experience.
• Build professional and brand partner relationships that foster collaborative delivery of exceptional service.
• Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for continuous professional development.

• Know and enforce Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection‑control procedures in line with state board guidelines.
• Follow established service protocols for a consistent, exceptional guest experience.
• Use booking and clientele systems to schedule guests for returns and events.
• Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager.
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards: salon, salesfloor, restrooms, back‑room, and break area.
• Adhere to the Ulta Beauty dress code.
• Protect company assets through loss‑prevention best practices.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• Cosmetology license.

• Previous salon experience is preferred.

• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for haircutting, hair color, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing services (where applicable) and/or ability to develop skills in all service categories.
• Proficiency with equipment and chemicals needed for technical work.
• Ability to demonstrate, recommend, and sell pro hair‑care and makeup products.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and clientele.

• Work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Frequent mobility during shift.
• Continuous lifting or moving up to 10 lbs during shift.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching during shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time during shift.
• Continuous or frequent coordination and manipulation of objects during shift.
