Healthcare Technology Manager (Contract)
Position Type: Contract
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Healthcare Technology Manager to lead and oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of healthcare technology systems within our organization. This contract position based in Los Angeles, CA, requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of healthcare IT environments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the deployment, integration, and maintenance of healthcare technology systems including EHR, EMR, and other clinical applications.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to identify technology needs and develop solutions that improve patient care and operational efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver technology initiatives on time and within scope.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards such as HIPAA and HITECH.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and policies.
- Stay current with emerging healthcare technologies and recommend upgrades or new solutions as appropriate.
- Provide training and support to end-users to maximize technology adoption and effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Minimum of 8 years experience managing healthcare technology systems in a clinical or hospital environment.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare IT standards, interoperability, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, CPHIMS, or HCISPP are a plus.
