The Purchasing Technician will be responsible for the direct purchasing of materials necessary to dispense medications to patients.
Duties/Responsibilities- Order daily medication needs from wholesaler.
- Log and record all invoices and purchasing orders.
- Maintain correct inventory levels.
- Follow current purchasing policies and procedures.
- Must be hands‑on; this is not a desk job.

Required Skills/Abilities- Knowledge of brand name/generic medications.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Able to work at a moderate speed.
- Able to work during inclement weather.
- Reliable.
- Detail‑focused with analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to physically perform light lifting.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications preferred but not required by state regulations and state of practice.
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long‑term care experience preferred).

- May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk.
- May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
- May lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

- Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.
