The Purchasing Technician will be responsible for the direct purchasing of materials necessary to dispense medications to patients.

• Order daily medication needs from wholesaler.
• Log and record all invoices and purchasing orders.
• Maintain correct inventory levels.
• Follow current purchasing policies and procedures.
• Must be hands‑on; this is not a desk job.

• Knowledge of brand name/generic medications.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Able to work at a moderate speed.

• Able to physically perform light lifting.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications preferred but not required by state regulations and state of practice.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long‑term care experience preferred).

• May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
