Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, organized, and service-oriented Optician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern private practice that prioritizes personalized care and professional growth.

As our Optician, you will assist patients in selecting and fitting eyewear, managing orders, handling vision insurance, and supporting the doctor with pre-testing. If you have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for helping others see and feel their best—we want to hear from you!

What We’re Looking For:

Prior experience in a private optometry practice preferred

Familiarity with VSP and Eye Med vision plans

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Warm, positive energy and eagerness to learn

A strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a busy environment

Optician’s license or ABO certification is a plus, but not required

Key Responsibilities:

Help patients select frames and lenses tailored to their prescription and lifestyle

Take accurate facial and optical measurements for proper frame/lens fit

Educate patients on lens options, treatments, and pricing

Prepare and manage orders for glasses and contact lenses

Keep patients updated on order status and follow through with communication

Perform pre-testing and assist with the patient workup before exams

Adjust and repair glasses as needed

Maintain accurate records in electronic systems (Crystal EMR experience a plus)

Manage front desk tasks including calls, emails, scheduling, and insurance verification
