Position Summary
These positions are filled on an as needed basis and are on-going recruitment. Assignments include evening courses. Candidates will have the option to teach introductory courses on health policy in the United States, along with advanced courses in health policy implementation and evaluation.
General ResponsibilitiesThe adjunct faculty member shall be responsible for the following: teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the HPM program director; helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content; assessing student learning outcomes; maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in his/her regular teaching field; utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties; maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position;
assisting with articulation and curriculum development and review.
Start date:
Spring 2018
3 hours, one night a week (either Tuesday or Thursday)
Job RequirementsPreference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience, healthcare industry/health policy analysis/academic research experience. Ability to teach multiple health policy and health policy analysis courses. A record of successfully advising, mentoring, or conducting research projects with students.
