Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and dedicated Float:
Front Office and Back Office Medical Assistant to support our healthcare facility. This role requires flexibility to provide comprehensive patient care, administrative support, and clinical assistance across various departments, including outpatient clinics such as obstetrics‑gynecology, orthopedic surgery, and interventional cardiology. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient service abilities, and familiarity with diverse medical environments. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting with exposure to a broad spectrum of medical practices and procedures.
- Provide front desk support including patient intake, appointment scheduling, and check‑in/check‑out procedures using EHR systems.
- Assist with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording patient history, and documenting in medical records.
- Support back‑office functions including specimen collection, procedures, medication administration, and assisting with procedures in various departments.
- Support inpatient and outpatient care by coordinating patient flow and ensuring smooth communication between clinical staff and patients.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to safety standards and infection control protocols.
- Adapt to different clinical environments such as hospital medicine, internal medicine clinics, or surgical units as needed.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to diverse medical specialties.
- Experience working in clinic settings. Orthopedic experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and billing purposes.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs collection, specimen handling, and medication administration.
- Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or hospital experience are advantageous.
- Flexibility to work across multiple departments as needed with a proactive approach to supporting healthcare teams in high‑pressure environments. Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
