Medical Coder; Orthopedic

Position: Medical Coder (Orthopedic)
Description

A Healthcare Company is seeking a highly skilled Medical Coder to support our healthcare clients with exceptional coding expertise. The Medical Coder must have experience in orthopedic coding and meet the qualifications below, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Accurately assign codes for orthopedic procedures and diagnoses, ensuring compliance with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards.

+ Review and interpret clinical documentation to support precise coding for reimbursement and reporting.

+ Collaborate remotely with physicians, clinical staff, and billing teams as needed.

+ Utilize Epic and Athena software systems for documentation and workflow.

+ Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

+ Participate in ongoing quality assurance and coding accuracy initiatives.

Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding, specifically in orthopedic coding.

- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is required.

- Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding standards.

- Familiarity with outpatient and ambulatory surgery coding processes.

- Experience using Epic EMR and Athenahealth systems.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining productivity.

- Knowledge of healthcare compliance and confidentiality regulations. Talent Match®
