About the Role

We’re looking for a Shopify Platform Developer to design, build, and scale modern eCommerce solutions on Shopify Plus. You’ll work at the intersection of commerce, data, and automation — building high performance storefronts, custom Shopify Functions, and backend integrations with marketing, fulfillment, and data platforms. This role is ideal for an engineer who loves end-to-end problem solving — from crafting high-performance storefront experiences to orchestrating complex data flows between Shopify, CDPs, CRMs, and ERPs.

Key Responsibilities Platform & Architecture

• Design and build scalable Shopify Plus storefronts (Online Store 2.0, Hydrogen/Remix, or headless frameworks).
• Develop and deploy Shopify Functions (discounts, shipping, payments, custom logic).
• Implement and maintain Checkout Extensibility and App Bridge integrations.
• Architect private apps, middleware, and webhook/event systems that integrate with external systems (ERP, OMS, CDP, CRM, ESP).
• Own the Shopify Admin and Storefront Graph
  
  QL API layer — ensuring resilience, caching, and performance.

Integration & Data Engineering

• Design data flows between Shopify, CDPs, marketing automation, and analytics platforms.
• Implement event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub, queues, retries, idempotency).
• Maintain consistency and observability across systems with logging and monitoring tools.

Frontend Development

• Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces using Liquid, React, or Hydrogen.
• Optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) and follow modern SEO & accessibility standards.

Reliability, Security & Compliance

• Ensure PCI and GDPR/CCPA compliance across integrations and data flows.
• Implement best practices for secrets, token management, and error handling.
