The Role:IT Systems Specialist
The IT Systems Specialist will be responsible for the efficient administration, operation and maintenance of all computer systems, office systems, AV, and voice communications within the organization. The role will handle 2nd level support, and on occasion 1st level support when needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- IT system administration, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting including corporate and hospitality IT systems such as email, IAM, POS, VOIP, audio visuals, and office applications.
- Strong collaboration with the Cybersecurity/Risk team to secure IT systems by implementing strict security measures and monitoring for potential threats. Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards like NIST CSF, GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS, among others.
- Endpoint protection, deployment/provisioning, policy enforcement, audit, and patch management, including mobile device management.
- Provide 2nd level support to all team members. Field 1st level support tickets when needed, such as installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications.
- Identify areas of improvement for ITSM and ITAM best practices.
- Continuous improvement of existing tools to increase utilization through feature adaptation and workflow refinement.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and systems engineers on corporate projects during and post deployment to ensure systems meet expected outcomes.
- Maintain cordial relationships with third‑party vendors as acting point of contact for all current and future IT projects.
- Work with systems engineers to monitor system performance, identify and remediate vulnerabilities, upgrade infrastructure to boost efficiency and reliability, and manage alerts based on set policies.
- Technical documentation including daily operational procedures; disaster recovery and business continuity exercises and implementation; conduct technical presentations.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and after hours as needed.
- Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. - Experience
: 2-3 years proven experience performing at a systems administrator level working in an on premise and cloud‑based environment. - Technical Skills
:- Strong experience working with cloud services such as O365 and Azure family of products.
- Knowledge of IAM/IdP systems like Entra/Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Active Directory; experience configuring SSO applications.
- Experience in IT systems administration, IT service management, and IT asset management.
- Basic understanding of networking and skills like LAN/WAN administration, ACL administration, VPN configuration/administration, DNS administration; experience with WAF and Zero Trust technologies.
- In‑depth knowledge of commonly used workstation and mobile operating systems.
- Licenses/Certifications:
ITIL, MS Certified, MS 365 Certified, Network+ or related certifications preferred. - Cursory knowledge of Power Shell, Azure CLI, or the desire to learn these platforms within the first year of employment.

Compensation range $85,000 - $95,000/annually (depending on experience). This is a full‑time, Exempt role.
