WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. (WEBTOON) is seeking a versatile and hands-on IT & Security Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles. This is a unique hybrid role that serves as the primary technical contact for both IT operations and security operations for our LA office.

You will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, from providing daily IT support and managing user access, to operating and monitoring security systems. A critical part of this role involves collaborating closely with our Global Security team, based in Korea, to ensure local operations align with global security policies and initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, comfortable with "IT chores" and user-facing support, while also possessing a strong foundation in security principles and operations.

Responsibilities
  • IT Operations & Support
  • Oversee and perform the IT employee lifecycle (onboarding, off-boarding, role changes), managing account provisioning, system access, and device deployment/collection.
  • Administer, maintain, and ensure the reliability of core corporate IT systems (e.g., Google Workspace, O3S, Slack, video conferencing, Atlassian).
  • Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including inventory tracking, procurement, and vendor relations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and user documentation for the LA office, aligning with global standards.
  • Act as the LA office's primary IT contact, collaborating with global IT teams on system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
  • Security Operations & Governance
  • Operate, monitor, and manage day-to-day security solutions, with a strong focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools.
  • Monitor security alerts from various systems (SIEM, DLP, Endpoint Security, IAM), conduct initial triage, and escalate or remediate as appropriate.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for user-reported issues or complaints regarding security tools, providing timely troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with the Security Manager (based in Korea) to implement, tune, and enforce global security policies and procedures locally.
  • Assist in responding to security incidents and conducting vulnerability assessments.
  • Support internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 27001/27701) by gathering evidence and assisting with remediation tasks.
  • Assist in delivering local security awareness training, phishing simulations, and other educational programs.
Qualifications
  • Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, OR equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of combined experience in IT Operations (System Administration) and/or Information Security Operations.
  • Must be a resident of the Los Angeles, CA area.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IT systems administration and troubleshooting in a mixed environment (macOS and Windows).
  • Experience with user administration and Identity & Access Management (IAM) for systems like Google Workspace, O365, and Active Directory.
  • Hands-on experience operating or managing security tools (e.g., DLP, Endpoint Detection and Response - EDR, SIEM).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with a remote, global team.
  • Must have the flexibility to adjust working hours as needed to collaborate with teams in different time zones (e.g., Korea).
