Job Description and Duties
  • Perform advanced digital forensic examinations, including analysis, reconstruction, and data preservation of electronic information systems such as hard drives, servers, cellular phones, network devices, and cloud platforms.
  • Collect, process, and present findings as part of criminal, civil, pre‑litigation, and litigation investigations.
  • Prepare forensic reports, maintain case files, and conduct peer review of case work.
  • Appear in court as a subject‑matter expert or witness to provide expert testimony.
  • Provide technical expertise and project management for complex IT solutions that support forensic investigations.
  • Recommend policy and procedure improvements to ensure the integrity of forensic processes.
  • Travel within California and occasionally out‑of‑state as required.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in digital forensic analysis, best practices, data storage, and information security.
  • High-level initiative, independent judgment, and strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Strong communication skills for preparing reports and court testimony.
  • Competency in case‑file management and peer‑review processes.
  • Knowledge of healthcare fraud investigative procedures is highly desirable.
