What will you be doing in this role?

The Digital Pathology Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, overseeing and advancing digital pathology operations within both clinical and research environments at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. This role provides quality assurance, system validation, expert advice on technical development, and research support related to digital slide imaging and computational pathology. The Digital Pathology Coordinator works closely with the Associate Director of Pathology, the Pathology Informatics Physician Leader, the Digital Pathology Medical Director, and the Director of Digital Pathology Research, as well as with enterprise information services and the digital pathology operations team.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy, security, and accessibility of digital pathology data; advising on hardware, software, and vendor strategies; supporting the development and integration of computational tools; and contributing to research projects and scholarly publications. The position requires handling of protected health information (PHI) and maintaining strict compliance with institutional, regulatory, and privacy standards.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Sciences or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Digital Pathology, Computer Science, Laboratory Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Digital Pathology, Laboratory, or Information Technology experience.
