Technical Support Technician Assistant
Required Education
• High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education
• Associate's degree in a technical field Required Experience
• Previous experience with computer hardware, printers, or related equipment
• Refurbishing hardware experience
• Administrative computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently and travel between multiple locations daily
• Must have personal transportation to travel between client locations
• Must complete a background check that includes a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) due to driving responsibilities
Preferred Experience
• Two years of technical school education and/or relevant technical experience
Technical Support Technician Assistant Overview
• Assist local Field Technical Services (FTS) Technicians with completing projects, installing computer equipment, and performing service calls
• Work independently while traveling between multiple client locations daily to complete technical assignments
• Support computer equipment installation and service activities across designated locations
• Use personal transportation to travel between locations and perform assigned duties
• Maintain the ability to manage daily assignments independently while supporting local technical service operations
Job Duties
• Administer asset tracking using client software systems.
• Provide staging, configuration, and bench repairs of specific client store hardware.
• Process all applicable warranty claims.
• Accurately record all production details and inventory movements.
• Refurbish and QA returned store hardware equipment.
• Assist local FTS Technicians in completing projects
• Install computer equipment
• Perform service calls
