INSURANCE AND CLAIMS COORDINATOR

ABOUT

THE POSITION:

The Insurance and Claims Coordinator will accurately and efficiently assist with the insurance application and placement process, and coordinate all types of property and casualty claims. The Insurance and Claims Coordinator will collect and organize insurance application data, be the frontline liaison between company subsidiaries and insurance brokers. Once coverage is placed, the Insurance and Claims Coordinator will ensure that the insurance bills are timely paid, and the certificates and evidences of insurance are provided.

Upon receipt of information constituting a claim, the Insurance and Claims Coordinator will assist with gathering all necessary and further information needed to file a claim with the appropriate insurance company and to provide follow-up reporting and processes to ensure key deliverables are met.

MAJOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate timely insurance placements and payments, including tracking and follow-up.
  • Efficiently and accurately facilitate claims filing and processing to conclusion.
  • Consistently achieves key performance indicators with respect to time and quality.
  • Participates on insurance and claims projects, including premium and claim payment integrity efforts.
  • Understands and quickly operationalizes process changes resulting from new insurance programs, regulatory changes, etc.
  • Works with supervisor and co-workers to provide strong internal and external customer and vendor services and communication with key customer interfaces that include:
    Subsidiary leadership, insurance brokers, and insurance claims professionals.
  • Frequent communication with internal and external associates and insurance brokers and claims managers, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept properly informed.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds performance standards in both productivity and accuracy.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ year(s) of data entry experience, including solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Property and casualty Insurance placement experience.
  • Insurance claims processing experience.
  • Good verbal & written communication skills.
  • Able to quickly grasp and retain information and concepts.
  • Strong attention to details and deadlines.
  • Understand and honor strict confidentiality standards.

Pay Range: $60,000 - $90,000 annually

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. No Supervisory Responsibilities and No Travel Requirements.
