CDF's Los Angeles office has an opportunity for attorneys with at least 3+ years of experience in employment defense litigation to join a tight-knit group of dedicated and diverse professionals. Attorneys will work on litigation and non‑litigation matters for a wide range of clients, from small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations across many industries.

• Pre‑complaint investigations
• Case analysis, strategy drafting, and responding to discovery
• Taking and defending depositions, motions, and other court appearances
• Administrative matters before various state and federal agencies
• Run day‑to‑day aspects of arbitration and trials, mediations, advising and counseling, and legal research and writing on a wide variety of areas
• Litigation generally consists of single‑plaintiff EEO, PAGA and other class/collective action litigation
• Participate in business development activities (preferred but not required)

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in employment law defense litigation in California.
• Class/collective action experience is preferable.
• Highly motivated, responsive, with excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Value a collaborative team environment and be prepared to work independently, assuming significant responsibilities.
• Optional:
  Bilingual abilities, experience in traditional labor is a plus but not necessary.
• Experience and interest in business development is preferred but not required.

• Juris Doctor, licensed to practice law and in good standing in California.
• California bar license required.
• Must meet continuing licensure requirements throughout employment.

$150,000 to $215,000 per year, depending on experience.
