A leading Am Law 100 law firm is expanding its Patent Litigation practice and is seeking an associate with at least two years of experience to join a nationally recognized IP team.

This Patent Litigation group operates at the intersection of advanced technology and high-stakes litigation. The team is known for quickly mastering complex technologies and building litigation strategies that align with clients’ broader business objectives—whether enforcing patent rights or defending against infringement claims. Matters regularly involve sophisticated products, fast-moving industries, and meaningful exposure to trial strategy.

• Managing patent disputes from early strategy through trial
• Participating in Markman proceedings and technical claim analysis
• Handling discovery and collaborating closely with technical experts
• Conducting and defending depositions
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs in district court and ITC matters

• 2+ years of patent litigation experience
• Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, life sciences
  , or a related field
• Experience in federal district court and/or ITC proceedings
• JD or LL.M. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active bar admission in CA
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative, detail-oriented, and client-facing mindset
