LHH is proud to partner with a distinguished intellectual property law firm in its search for a dynamic Patent Prosecution Paralegal. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.

About the Role

This position supports a team of patent attorneys with a focus on U.S. and international patent prosecution. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable managing complex workflows with precision and discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to patent attorneys
• Manage attorney dockets and ensure timely filings and responses
• Prepare and file patent documents with the USPTO and WIPO, including applications, office action responses, IDSs, petitions, and maintenance fees
• Draft and coordinate execution of formal documents such as declarations, assignments, and powers of attorney
• Communicate with clients, inventors, foreign agents, and internal teams to coordinate filings and deadlines
• Maintain accurate records in Net Documents and Pro Law
• Assist with special projects including portfolio transfers and budget tracking

What You Bring

• 2–4 years of experience in patent prosecution support
• Associate’s degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate
• Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with USPTO Patent Center, ePCT, Foundation
  
  IP, and Pro Law (preferred)
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture
• Hourly Rate: $34–$38, commensurate with experience
