Law​/Legal Associate, Litigation

Description We are looking for a motivated Civil Litigation Associate to join a boutique legal firm in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position is ideal for candidates with 2-3 years of litigation experience, although strong entry-level applicants may also be considered. The role primarily involves handling toxic tort, consumer class action, and various civil litigation cases.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.

- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies.

- Represent clients during depositions, hearings, and court proceedings.

- Collaborate with partners and other team members in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

- Manage case files and ensure deadlines are met effectively.

- Provide support for toxic tort and consumer class action cases.

- Analyze case details and develop sound litigation strategies.

- Maintain consistent communication with clients to address their legal needs.

- Participate actively in client meetings and case discussions.

- Adapt to a fast-paced legal environment while maintaining high-quality work. Requirements - Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership with the state bar.

- 0-3 years of litigation experience, with a preference for toxic tort or consumer class action cases.

- Strong legal research and writing skills.

- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

- Ability to work in the office four days per week.

- Experience in conducting depositions and drafting motions.

- Familiarity with civil litigation processes and procedures.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
