Position Overview

Our firm is seeking a motivated Attorney with strong litigation or pre-litigation experience to join our growing Toxic Torts team. Prior experience in toxic torts, asbestos, or silica is not required
-we provide full training and mentorship. This is a great opportunity for an attorney with a background in general liability, insurance defense, or related areas who is eager to expand their practice into a specialized field.

In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload, work directly with clients, and gain hands-on experience handling cases from inception through resolution. You'll be supported by a collaborative team while developing the skills needed to excel in toxic tort litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pre-litigation strategy, discovery, motions, and trial preparation
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitration, mediation, and other forums
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
• Provide practical, solutions-focused legal advice to clients
• Negotiate settlements and help resolve disputes efficiently and effectively
• Develop strategies to minimize client risk and exposure

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience (toxic torts experience a plus, but not required )
• Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision
• Strong negotiation, communication, and legal writing skills
• Background in insurance defense, general liability, or employment defense helpful but not required
• Licensed to practice in California and in good standing
• J.D. from an accredited law school
