Procurement and Logistics Coor

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement and Logistics Coordinator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Sylmar, CA within a consumer packaged goods manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a logistics, inventory, purchasing, or supply chain professional who enjoys keeping operations moving smoothly through accurate order processing, shipment coordination, and inventory control.

The Procurement and Logistics Coordinator will support daily purchasing, shipping, receiving, freight coordination, and stock reconciliation activities. This position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative operations team, supportive leadership, and a fast-paced production environment where accuracy, communication, and follow-through are valued. • Process purchase orders, maintain purchasing documentation, and coordinate with suppliers to support production and operational needs.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, including shipment scheduling, tracking, carrier communication, and delivery follow-up.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, reconcile stock levels, and assist with cycle counts or inventory adjustments.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including documentation, order accuracy, and timely movement of materials.
• Communicate with internal teams, vendors, carriers, and warehouse personnel to resolve order, shipment, or inventory issues.
• Help improve organization, visibility, and accuracy across procurement, logistics, and supply chain processes.

• Pay range: $25 to $27 per hour.

• Support purchase order processing, supplier coordination, and purchasing documentation.
• Coordinate freight logistics, shipment tracking, and carrier communication.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through stock reconciliation, records management, and shipping and receiving support.
• Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and logistics partners to support production and operations.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, procurement, inventory control, shipping and receiving, supply chain, or operations support.
• Knowledge of purchasing, freight coordination, inventory management, and shipment tracking processes.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to enter, update, and maintain accurate order and inventory data.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
• Dependable, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and support changing operational needs.

• Experience in consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with ERP, MRP, inventory, purchasing, or warehouse management systems.
• Experience coordinating freight carriers, resolving shipment issues, and supporting inventory audits or cycle counts.
