The project manager reports to Project Director and provides planning, coordination, and direction for project management activities to ensure they meet owner needs, specifications, cost, and schedule. This person will be working on a variety of renovation projects (TI, Tenant Improvement and Deferred Maintenance) types and should have experience from planning, design phase, construction and close-out. May supervise office/field administrative staff, project/field engineers, and other assigned staff (including oversight of subcontractors).

• Meet with the client's customer representative to clarify, define and develop scope of work, budget and schedule requirements.
• Work through JOC (Job Order Contracting) Estimating Group for conceptual estimates per client's procedures.
• Manage design phase, construction and project close-out according to the client's procedures and company practices.
• Schedule and conduct regular construction progress meetings, budget and compliance with the scope of work.
• Identify and resolve problems and issues before they become critical and keep the client and the customer department informed of on-going project status, including cost, schedule, and other issues.
• Take initiative to keep Vanir Management (Project Director) informed of the client's assigned projects and responsibilities for any/all customer departments.
• This position will support the Probation Department projects.

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, engineering, construction management or related field.
• Must have at least three (3) years' experience, within the last eight (8) years, providing construction/project management consulting services, including a minimum ten (10) years of relevant work experience in the construction industry including repair, maintenance or refurbishment of existing governmental and institutional-type facilities.
• Must have Design-Bid-Build, Job Order Contract, and/or Best Value Construction management experience
• Experience with executing Probation projects, experience with juvenile halls and SYTF (Secure Youth Treatment Facility) related projects, and compliance with the Board of Stand Community Corrections (BSCC) is requested
• Advanced knowledge and application of master planning, A/E solicitation, project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts and delivery methods is required
• Thorough understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, and specifications and applied experience in the areas of project accounting, cost, administrative, and personnel interaction in professional settings are required
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related systems such as E-Builder, Prolog and Primavera are required
• Proficiency with various document control systems, as well as new construction and modernization of government facilities is preferred
• Registration as an Architect is preferred
• CCM certification is preferred
