Description
Join our dynamic and growing Department of Ophthalmology as the Float Pool Manager, where you’ll play a key role in supporting clinic operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day function across multiple outpatient practices. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, this position partners closely with department leadership to maintain operational stability, optimize staffing, and promote excellence in patient care.
This role enhances leadership’s flexibility and capacity as the department continues to expand. The Float Pool Manager provides coverage during clinic manager absences, onboarding and transitions, and ongoing training or education periods. In addition to temporary management coverage, this position oversees the Ophthalmology's Float Administrative and Clinical staff, ensuring that resources are deployed strategically to meet divisional and departmental priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage float pool team members, ensuring effective deployment based on clinic needs.
- Provide temporary management coverage for clinics during absences, transitions, or onboarding periods.
- Oversee business and patient care support functions within assigned outpatient practices.
- Manage staffing (FTE) allocation, patient access and care coordination.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.
- Support workflow standardization and lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership on policy development, education and performance improvement.
- Contribute to revenue cycle management and operational efficiency.
Note:
This role may be required to work at any of our practice sites across our department service area based on operational needs.
Salary Range: $70, Annually
