Job responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and submission of SEC filings, ensuring all financial statements meet U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Create and maintain a quarterly reporting schedule, coordinating efforts across internal teams, auditors, and legal advisors.
- Oversee the development of financial disclosures, including footnotes, management analysis, and supporting materials for earnings releases and investor communications.
- Monitor compliance requirements through a disclosure checklist and lead the adoption of new accounting standards across the organization.
- Draft technical accounting documentation and collaborate with auditors and leadership to resolve complex reporting issues.
- A minimum of 4+ years in public accounting, ideally at a manager level within a Big Four firm.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a public company environment with direct involvement in SEC reporting.
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and technical accounting research.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to manage cross-functional projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Proven track record in preparing and reviewing SEC filings such as annual and quarterly reports.
- Familiarity with financial reporting systems and ERP platforms; experience with Net Suite.
- Prior background in financial services or brokerage operations.
- Ability to build strong collaborative relationships across departments and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement and automation in reporting workflows.
