** Junior Quality Engineer
** that will report to the Director of Quality. The successful individual in this role will support our Stream Caster MANET product development and manufacturing.
* Perform acceptance testing on first article PCBs, assemblies, and components in a Linux-based environment.
* Prepare assemblies according to established acceptance testing procedures.
* Support maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrading of test stations.
* Perform rigorous stress testing on fully built assemblies to validate components.
* Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.
* Inspect First Article components and subassemblies.
* Read and interpret part documentation, including blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
* Prepare in-process inspection report, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
* Work closely with engineering and operations leadership to develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control documentation.
* Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to identify, investigate, and document any inconsistent or abnormal test results.
* As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.
* Associates in related fields or technical programs with at least 1 year of inspection/repair experience.
* Experience with utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
* Ability to read basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.
* Proficient with PC and familiar with MS Office.
* Must have excellent organizational skills, be highly attentive to details, and have the capacity to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent and effective oral and written communication.
* ** NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.**
* ** All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.
*** Prior experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment.
* Soldering experience.
* IPC Certification.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
* Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
* Walking/Moving in the labs.
* Associates in related fields or technical programs with at least 1 year of inspection/repair experience.
* Experience with utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
* Ability to read basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.
